Sea Elves (also known as Merfolk) are an elven race who stand out from the rest, due to living in the ocean. Their capital city is Atlantis, and their current leader is Brenmôr.
History[]
Currently, much isn’t known so far. At some point in the past, the king was a merfolk these days known as Old King Triton, a makeshift Spirit of the Sea who was friends with beings like the Leviathan and the Kraken. Their home, Atlantis, is deep in the sea where humans can’t find them, and thus they shy away from the surface. However, knowing younger merfolk may want to see the surface, they hold a festival for it, the winner becoming the Champion of Atlantis. Only the strongest, most powerful merfolk can win, proving they’re strong enough to withstand anything the surface can throw at them. The current champion is Sana.

Sea Elves are capable of taking on either humanoid form or merfolk form. They follow selkie rules, in which they transform into their merfolk form when touching water.
They are also practitioners of hydromancy.
Trivia[]
- Every winter, there is a hibernation event called the Slumbering Tide. Due to the water getting cold, they go into a stastis-like sleep. Younger merfolk tend to help the elders out, bringing them to a save place to sleep, often taking a few days.
