Sana Aigéan was the former Athlete of Atlantis, but retired unofficially to pursue her passion of cooking at Caifé Cosmos. She is also a supporting singer for Cosmic Wonders.

Backstory

Sana was born in Atlantis, the capital city of the sea elves, to her mother Saoirse, the Guardian of the Seas. After participating in a festival for curious merfolk who wanted to see the surface, she would become the athletic champion of Atlantis. Obtaining a magical wetsuit and her signature trident, based on the one belonging to Old King Triton, She headed to the surface to pursue her dream of becoming a chef.

Meeting the others in the Haven, Sana was hired as Caifé Cosmos's head chef with no hesitation from Rei. (She took one bite of Sana's food and handed her the first month's salary and keys with zero hesitation.) Sana would further teach herself, to ensure she could feed them all.

One day on the beach, she met her boyfriend, a Hawaiian Surfer named Aukai. They caught each other checking out the same dude, and ended up going out afterwards. Over time, Sana has told him about everything: her identity, Caifé Cosmos, all of it.

Powers

As a sea elf, Sana can switch between Mermaid form and Elf form. Her magical wetsuit helps her transition between forms with no issue. She can take the wetsuit off whenever she wants without being forced to revert back to Mermaid form or vice versa, but would be in trouble if she lost it.

They also have the power of hydromancy, giving her great control over water, especially when using their trident, as shown with their signature move, "Atlantis Rising."

When badly injured, Sana morphs into a Sea Sprite, a light green seafoam ball. She will then find a safe place underwater to recover. This is remarkably similar to how Cosmic Spirits behave when injured.

Personality

Sana is the living epitome of confidence, inspiring all around her to try their best. They love to tease and be quite sassy, but she really does care for everyone in her life. Sana often finds herself acting like an older sister figure, being quite collective and mature compared to her friends.

Trivia

• Sana is a pescatarian, and enjoys certain fish dishes. Especially coconut crusted shrimp.
• Sana has a pet Orca Whale named Momo. Her father found them after humans put her back into the ocean and, being quite friendly, followed him home.
• Sana's favourite sport is Undasphera, an Atlantean sport combining soccer and swimming. She also likes yoga.
• Sana's fashion sense is "Athletic Leisure".
• They have been known to swim with sea lions for fun.
• She enjoys tailoring.
• According to P.M. Seymour, six characters that served as inspiration for Sana were Wendy Corduroy from Gravity Falls, Kida Nedakh from Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid, Crysta from FernGully: The Last Rainforest, Lene from Fire Emblem, and Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon.
