Rei is the humanoid manifestation of Chronoa, the spirit of the universe. She is the creator of everything in the universe, and by extension, the mother of all cosmic spirits that inhabit it. She is also the co-founder of Caifé Cosmos, a safe haven for all non-human life in the universe. She tends not to interfere with the natural events of the universe unless absolutely necessary.
Backstory[]
In the beginning, there was only Cosmos and Chaos, with the never-ending energy they gave off resulting in a cosmic energy known as the Essence. Chronoa, aka Cosmos, used the Essence and created the entire universe with it. She would use that same power to create Vacuo’s realm, the Void, ensuring he wouldn’t destroy all that she had made. Then, she created the Cosmic Spirits, physical manifestions of the various celestial bodies, basing their appearance on a vision she had as she held the Essence.
Theia causes the first Cosmic Disruption, by going a different direction than intended, against Chronoa’s will. After dealing with them accordingly, she sent them to the Asteroid Belt. Then the second Cosmic Disruption happened, with Vacuo being briefly released from The Void and slaughtering the entire Harran population, save for one. To seal him away once again, she blessed the sword of the last Harran, a swordsman named Pin’roh, infusing his blade with Essence. Afterwards, she and Gaia sealed the area of Vacuo’s escape and hid the existence of the Harran to prevent further power-seekers from discovering him. Next, Shiro arrived in the universe, marking the third Cosmic Disruption. It is here that Chronoa first took on the form of Rei, allowing herself to interact with mortals and spirits. Thus she negotiated with Shiro and reached an agreement. He was allowed to stay in her universe, so long as he doesn’t interfere in its fate.
After Gaia’s death, Rei chose to remain on Earth, primarily to protect the planet's non-human kin from disaster. Without Gaia, Earth needed a new guardian. This led to her working with Solaria and making a safe haven for them. But Rei also chose to stay out of curiosity. Despite everything humans had done, Gaia had put so much of her faith into them, and Rei wanted to know why.

The Rei we know is but an extension of her full cosmic form, but even still, she is incredibly powerful, on a level no character except Vacuo can even come close to. She can wield the universe's Essence to perform unimaginable feats and, to our knowledge, is unkillable.
Much of Rei's power comes from her eyes, which she keeps closed at almost all times. After all, merely opening her two eyes and looking at someone is enough to make them feel immense pressure on their body and head. But that's just the beginning.
Rei has a third eye, the “Eye of Cosmos", and opening it is so deadly that not even chaos (presumably referring to Pario) can survive it. Gazing into the Eye of Cosmos reveals the universe in its entirety, from the Big Bang to the end of time itself, frying the minds of anyone unfortunate enough to look into it. Rei will only use this power to cast judgement upon her creations, be they human or spirit. Only the most sinful of lifeforms will see her third eye, and it will bw the last thing they ever see. Once her victim's mind is thoroughly melted, Rei will take their soul and return its Essence to the universe.
However, the primary purpose of Rei's third is allowing her to glimpse into the future of her universe, seeing all possible events and outcomes as well as the paths and actions people will take. However, her future vision is not absolute. Rei can only predict general paths, and is unable to forsee disturbances in those paths. Additionally, she is unable to forsee the fates of Pario and Shiro, due to the former being the vessel containing Chaos himself, and the latter coming from another universe.
Personality[]
Rei is quite sweet and motherly, and clearly cares for those living in her universe. However, as the physical form of the Cosmos and the representation of fate itself, she takes a more analytical approach to everything. She knows when something that isn't supposed to happen does, and it is nigh-impossible to circumvent her watch when she has her eye on you.

- Her favourite drink is the very same one Bah'Rhys made when he joined Caifé Cosmos, which is a white coffee with coloured sugar dust sprinkled on top.
- She has a giant form standing at 10ft (3.048 meters) tall.
- When she falls asleep, her hair glows.
- According to P.M. Seymour, six characters that served as inspiration for Rei were Megara from Disney's Hercules, Lyla from Harvest Moon, Lisa from Genshin Impact, Rosalina from Super Mario, Lulu from Final Fantasy X, and Medusa of Greek Mythology.[1]
