The Nerva Corps (originally the Nerva Ops) was founded and ran by Commander Nervasahno, also known as Nerva with the intent of servicing as a protection service, akin to a police force, across the Galaxy. After saving Aoi during a mission, Nerva renamed the Nerva Ops to the Nerva Corps, and expanded to include diplomatic services. So that nothing like what happened to them happens to anyone else again.
