Commander Nervasahno (more commonly known as Nerva) is the founder of Nerva Corps (formerly Nerva Ops) and the adoptive father of Aoi.

Backstory

Nerva was born on the planet Kreena, a technologically advanced planet just outside of the Milky Way. A Kreelian researcher, Nerva secretly studied the Milky Way. More specifically, he studied Earth in a research project that would later be coined as Project O.R.C. After his studies, the spirit/leader of his planet, Kreena (same name) charged him with further expeditions, to protect and serve the galaxies. Presumably, it was around this time that he created the Nerva Ops, a diplomatic and protection service akin to a space police.

It was Nerva who saved Aoi from their circumstances, and took them in when they weren't able to return home. He lost a hand during the skirmish, but Aoi replaced it with a robotic prosthetic. The experience lead him to rebranding the Nerva Ops to the Nerva Corps, and expand into a more diplomatic service as well, so that nothing like what happened to Aoi was ever allowed to happen again.

Several years later, they sent Aoi to Earth to both study the Earth and establish contact with the Earthlings in his absence.

History

Pilot

Following the events of the Pilot Episode, Nerva now finds his way back to Earth after the protest by Cyana and Cosmic Wonders, to deliver some rather unfortunate news.

Powers

Nerva has four arms, one of which having a combat blaster attached to it. This is how he uses his signature move "True Aim." So far, he has shown no magical abilities, though he has already proven himself to be both a brilliant leader and skilled combatant without them.

Personality

Nerva appears to be quite relaxed, at least as far as leaders of an intergalactic police force go. He's seen many things in his time as a leader. Perhaps due to his upbringing on Kreena, he tends to value putting logic before emotions, but it is undeniable that he has a soft spot for his adopted child, Aoi.

Trivia

• His favourite colour is Maroon.
• Nerva enjoys New York Style Pizza, introduced to it by an old friend from Earth.
• At some point Nerva has met Cyana, albeit as a blue little rabbit flying around his ship.
• According to P.M. Seymour, six characters that served as inspiration for Nerva were the Grand Councilwoman from Lilo & Stitch, Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Maxie from Pokémon, Kyon from Haruhi Suzumiya, Mewtwo from Pokémon, and Lukas from Fire Emblem.
