Azuri is an android created by Aoi, serving as their assistant and protector. Despite that, they're one of the sweetest members of the cast who often gets into more trouble as a result.

Backstory

Azuri was created by Aoi roughly six years ago, as a robotic assistant, built while they were studying for Nerva Corps around Pluto’s orbit. Yet despite all their work, Azuri wouldn't work until, by a miracle, she just did. This should be impossible according to Aoi's testing and Nerva's double-checking, but they function regardless.

From then on, Azuri would function as a companion to Aoi, and came with them to Earth.

Powers

Being a robot, Azuri has many functions. She can fly at speeds fast enough to travel into and through space, and can also telekinetically (or magnetically) lift objects several times her size.

Azuri can also morph their limbs (and sometimes their whole body) into various weapons, including laser cannons and more.

Personality

Azuri is kind and curious, but also as a result of their naivety often end up in compromising situations. Despite her powers, she doesn't like fighting unless it's to protect the people she cares about.

Azuri seems to have autistic traits and manners. When overstimulated, especially by rough textures, they're prone to breakdowns. As such, she prefers calm and soft environments, unless needing to protect Aoi. Usually when overstimulated, Aoi takes them to the park to listen to the birds. Azuri has recorded the sounds of both birds and the oceans, which they listen to when overstimulated.

UTAU

Azuri has received an official voicebank for the vocal synth program UTAU, created in collaboration with and voiced by EdmaiUnbound. Depictions of this iteration of the character aren't cannon to Cosmic Wonders. At this point in time her voicebank has yet to be publicly released, but an early demo of the voicebank has been previewed on Edmai's YouTube channel.

Trivia

• She is affectionately referred to both by PM Seymour and the fandom at large as "The Beep Boop Bean".
• Her favourite colour is Royal Blue.
• Azuri has a rechargeable core, taking in the natural electrical charge around her to power back up. But in times of stress, they also have solar chargers as a fail safe. They don't really eat as a result, but enjoy charging off solar power.
• Azuri can feel the electric charge in humans on contact.
• She enjoys headpats and squeeze toys
• Azuri likes to copycat, often mimicking the rest of the cast.
• Azuri's favorite texture is a fleece sweater Cyana made for them.
• According to P.M. Seymour, six characters that served as inspiration for Azuri were Jirachi from Pokémon, Kanna Kamui from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Mega Man from the eponymously named game series, Fi from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Marina Liteyears from Mischeif Makers, and Geno from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.
