Aoi Nervasahno is the bassist of Cosmic Wonders and resident repairperson of Caifé Cosmos, in addition to being an agent of Nerva Corps. They struggle with socializing, preferring the company of machinery. They consider Azuri to be their greatest creation, as well as their pride and joy.
At age 19, Aoi is one of the youngest members of the cast.
Backstory[]
Aoi was born on Neptune, to a migrant race of space travellers known as the Tieflings. Their father was a space pirate that owed a lot of money to the wrong people and gave up his own family as collateral. Nerva would rescue the young tiefling, at the cost of one of his arms. He went on to raise Aoi and foster their talent for technology. Soon after, Aoi would build Azuri, but she wouldn't come to life until a few years later. Eventually, Aoi joined the Nerva Corps, an organization of space police, reporting to their adoptive father.
At the age of 19, they landed on Earth and were recruited by Rei as an engineer of sorts. Rei was fully aware of the fact Aoi was a part of Nerva Corps, and was stationed on Earth by Nerva in his absence. Aoi now lives at the Caifé, fixing appliances in the building and for their clients.

Powers[]
Aoi hasn't been shown to have any powers, outside of their incredible technology skills. However, they are supposedly an expert marksman, as shown with their Signature Move "Dead Aim."
Personality[]
Aoi is confirmed to be neurodivergent, with it affecting their ability to socialize with others. This makes them quite awkward and reserved around folks, and they’re not exactly the best conversationalist.
They're a child prodigy who takes more comfort in machines than humans. Fixing appliances, or working as a mechanic is quite enjoyable for them. Despite this, they still care deeply for others, calling Nerva "Dad", Cyana and Rei "Mom", and having a close, family-like bond with Azuri.
Trivia[]
- Their favourite colour is Teal.
- The blaster where one of Nerva's hands used to be was created by Aoi themselves, presumably as a thank-you for being rescued.
- Their favourite things to repair are Nerva's ship engines.
- Aoi gets easily annoyed watching people with no experience try to fix complex machinery.
- Whenever upset, they tend to slip into Infernal.
- Aoi occasionally gets homesick. When this happens, Azuri plays a lullaby from their mother to help calm them down.
- Tieflings have anywhere between 0-2 horns. Aoi has none, and it is unclear whether they'll grow them or not.
- Aoi has heterochromia, with one eye being a different colour than the other one. Said eye and its colours are significant enough for them to keep it hidden under a bang.
- Their favourite comfort food is a special shrimp gyoza soup made by Sana.
- Aoi plays a left-handed bass resembling a Fender Jazz bass.
- According to P.M. Seymour, six characters that served as inspiration for Aoi were Jim Hawkins from Disney's Treasure Planet, Presea Combatir from Tales of Symphonia, Jamie from Harvest Moon, Haku from Naruto, Naoto Shirogane from Persona 4, and Shinji Ikari from Evangelion.[1]
