Acai

A slime born from Cyana's tears, Açai serves as one of the various protagonists of Cosmic Wonders. They are quite young yet brave and determined, serving as a protector of the slime colonies whilst on her quest to find her family. Açai might be small, yet they're quite powerful and will do whatever it takes to protect her home.

History

Roughly 32 thousand years ago, Lord Theia's corruption led to Cyana's separation from Earth and the loss of her first children, the Noctis Lucri. Sometime after this devestation and during her grief, two tears fell to Earth. One of them fell into in a lake nearby the Great Slime Forest, the other on a lily near that lake. Through the former arose Açai, who alongside Grape were born around the same time monsters rose and started to uproar on Earth. Both she and Grape were taken in by Ratatosk Dewli, also referred by Açai as "Grampy Dewli."

The slimes implemented rules of not interacting with the Lucri to both keep the Slime Haven and the Lucri safe, as they feared the monsters were after Grape and Açai’s power. Two years before the start of her story, Grape was exiled after aiding the Moon Elves in sealing a powerful Outer Realm beast. Despite Açai's pleads to stay, he left and told them to take care as well as to answer Her (aka Lunari) when she calls, for they (the Moon Elves) are friends.

Ratatosk realized through Grape's action that it was much more than them that these monsters were after, and that the slime siblings were born through Cyana's tears. Thus he gave Açai the Slime Haven’s treasured secret, The Moon Blade, as well as his emblem. Açai was to leave home and go protect their forests and ever since, Açai has been traveling across the great forests. Both protecting the slimes from the Outer Realm creatures and to find both her brother and mother.

Through Episodes 2 and 3 of the Webtoon, Lunari is finally able to reach out to Açai in order to ask for their help. To aid Lunari in finally finishing off the Outer Realm beast once and for all by slaying it with the two weapons Cyana left for them, thus leaving the Heroic Slime to set out to reach her sister.

Appearance

Açai as a slime is coloured almost entirely blue, with the sole exception of the tips of her locks and twintails. In their elven form, complete with the pointy ears, they resemble a kid in their early teens both in mannerisms and physique. Yet they still have the teardrop shaped antenna that allows her to communicate with other slimes. Their slime form resembles that of a bunny, retaining same colour scheme and the antenna.

In her regular attire, Açai dresses in baggy purplish shorts, dark blue boots, a pair of fingerless gloves, and a cyan hoodie with a light blue shirt peeking out slightly. Additionally, they wear a bow around their neck with the emblem of a dewdrop called the “Dewli Emblem”. This emblem was specifically given to her by “Grampy Slime,” along with the sword. According to Açai, this is her power source. In comparison, their casual attire consists of more fitting and longer shorts, as well as a purple hoodie with a shirt underneath it.

Personality

Açai as the younger sibling of Grape and Lunari acts younger and more childlike, both in their manner of speech and how they act. She's very expressive, upbeat, and finds awe in much of the beauty of nature and the world. She's also quite polite, with Grape referring to her politeness as adorable. Additionally, Açai is shown to be very caring of those important to them, almost immediately taking to calling Lunari "Big Sis Lulu," viewing Ratatosk like a grandfather, and setting out on their journey in large part to connect with Grape and Cyana. Appearances can be decieving, however. Açai is quite courageous and heroic in their own right, fearlessly fighting Outer Realm beasts trying to eat their fellow slimes and resolving to come help Lunari quite quickly. In fact, one art piece depicting them fighting one such beast is called "Lil Brave Warrior."

Additionally, she is shown to be quite intelligent in her own right, likely due to how long she's been around. In an alternate universe art piece, Açai is shown going to colleges to help correct professors with the history tomes. Earth's section in "Solaria's Field Guide" even mentions Açai, who helped Solaria with their own notes. Solaria even notes that they remind her of somebody else, likely Cyana who is also noted to be book smart as well.

Abilities & Weapons

Açai carries the Sayf Alqamar, known as “The Moon Blade” or “The Mother Moon Blade,” a gift from Cyana to her children to protect themselves in the case of danger. As shown in the webtoon “The First Story Begins,” this blade can easily cut through Outer Realm threats like the Mandra, an invasive plant species that consumes slimes. They were able to kill such a beast in one finishing move, which Açai called “Azure Slice.”  Another piece of art, “Lil Brave Warrior” also depicts the, creating a clean slice through another enemy (presumably from the Outer Realm as well) with the blade. She is able to call upon the blade at anytime with their own Spirit and the Emblem, allowing her to keep it out of harm’s way. It is also blessed by Cyana so that only her family can wield it with absolute ease, which Acai mistakenly believes is also because of the Emblem. Pointing to the moon cause it to glow, but what it does beyond that is unknown.

As a slime, Açai inherently hold shapeshifting abilities as well as the ability to communicate with other slimes via their antenna. Due to the unique circumstances of their birth, she can transform into an elven form. Little is known about what other abilities she has, both as a result of being a slime and her status as a child of Cyana. However we know as result of her relationship to Lady Selene, Açai is capable of ascending to Cyana’s Secret Realm. Not much is known about the realm yet, but it seems to allow them to converse with her kin despite far distances.
